Puglia is a beautiful region located in the southeastern part of Italy, known for its stunning coastline, historic towns, and delicious cuisine. It’s often referred to as the “heel” of the Italian boot, bordered by the Adriatic Sea to the east and the Ionian Sea to the southeast. Here are some highlights of Puglia:

1. Alberobello

Famous for its trulli, traditional stone dwellings with conical roofs, Alberobello is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town’s unique architecture and charming streets make it one of the most photographed spots in Puglia.

2. Lecce

Often called the “Florence of the South,” Lecce is known for its magnificent Baroque architecture. The city is home to stunning churches, palaces, and plazas made from local limestone, giving the buildings a warm, golden glow.

3. Polignano a Mare

4. Matera (in Basilicata, but close to Puglia)
