Itinerary

Day 1 – Fly to Johannesburg

Overnight direct flight to Johannesburg.

Day 2 – Arrival at Sebatana Elephant Lodge

Meet your local tour manager at Johannesburg airport for a scenic transfer to Sebatana Elephant Lodge. Enjoy lunch on arrival, relax by the pool, and settle into your surroundings. Evening welcome drink followed by dinner and briefing for the week ahead.

Day 3 – Sebatana Private Reserve & Game Drive

Venture out in open-air 4x4s with your guides. Learn about the flora and fauna of the reserve, then enjoy your first wildlife game drive. Spot zebras, meerkats, giraffes, wildebeest, and impalas. Evening wine tasting before dinner.

Day 4 – Welgevonden Big Five Game Drive & Optional Tribal Evening

Morning game drive to nearby Welgevonden Reserve to search for the Big Five: lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant. Optional tribal evening in the evening to explore South Africa’s indigenous culture.

Day 5 – Bush Walk & Christina’s Wallow Game Drive

Gentle morning bush walk with your guide to learn about animal breeding areas and local plants. After lunch, head out to Christina’s Wallow for a wildlife game drive and waterhole viewing.

Day 6 – Optional Pilanesberg National Park Excursion

Choose to visit Pilanesberg National Park, the third-largest in South Africa, with further Big Five spotting opportunities, including endangered white rhino. Return to lodge for dinner and wine tasting.

Day 7 – Game Drive with Champagne Brunch & Optional Night Safari

Early morning game drive to spot antelopes and other wildlife. Mid-morning, enjoy a traditional African brunch with champagne at Kudu Rock. Rest in the afternoon or explore gentle trails. Optional night safari available in the evening.

Day 8 – Optional Kaingo Game Reserve & Sunset Rock Game Drive

Optional morning Big Five game drive at Kaingo Game Reserve. Mid-afternoon, enjoy the Sunset Rock safari, sipping champagne while watching the sun set over the Waterberg Mountains. Farewell dinner back at the lodge.

Day 9 – Johannesburg Tour & Return Flight to the UK

Morning transfer to Johannesburg. Visit either the Apartheid Museum & Hector Pieterson Memorial or the Voortrekker Monument. Packed lunch provided before your overnight flight back to the UK.

Day 10 – Arrival in the UK

Early morning arrival.
